Is there no more sea forever on the new heaven and earth (Revelation 21:1)? Wouldn’t it be obvious if the prophecies have been fulfilled?
A reader named William posed some interesting questions, and here are my responses:
Question: Hi, I am confused, in Revelation it is said that there is no more sea in the new heaven and earth, it also gives the measurements of the holy city and it is gigantic, reaching into space, so it would be hard to hide such a gigantic cube city, lastly, even if I wanted to go to visit Jesus at the north pole, how do I get past the military blockade, they will shoot anyone that tries to go near Jesus’s home?
Answer: Hey William, thanks for your comment. If you look at the events from the day of the Lord, we can see how the seas would have been dried up by the fervent heat event:
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10)
In Revelation it also says the dragon casts out a flood which is swallowed up by the earth:
“And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.” (Revelation 12:16)
From the descriptions of the end times events in Revelation and the rest of the scriptures, it is easy to see how the water could have been dried up. I see that as a temporary rather than permanent state of affairs, as it is hard to think that after the day of the Lord, there would be no sea on earth forever and ever, that does not make sense.
God talks about drying up the seas in Isaiah:
“Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.” (Isaiah 50:2)
“Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?” (Isaiah 51:10)
In a previous post about Mount Zion I pulled out many more scriptures from Isaiah about the highway to new Jerusalem and the pilgrimage we must make.
New earth in scripture is not a whole new creation as the earth abides forever, God does not completely destroy his creation but he wipes out the wicked from it.
The day of the Lord was the biblical end of the world, when heaven and earth passed away.
I believe quite some time has passed since Revelation was fulfilled, and in that time, the sea has returned. The earth system works with the sea as a key component. The fervent heat event may have dried up the oceans but I think it was not a permanent state.
Space does not exist, there is a firmament separting the waters above from the waters below as the first page of the Bible says. We have also seen how those in charge love trying to bust holes in the firmament, and you can see in rocket launches from SpaceX that some water comes off before the firmament closes back up. We don’t know what they are doing at the edge of the firmament.
Where do you believe the real biblical Jerusalem is located? It is definitely not fake Israel in the middle east. There is an assumption that there is a military blockade, however I believe we can go there on land via Siberia.
In Isaiah we read about the highway to new Jerusalem that only the redeemed can go over. Jesus says at the end of Revelation for us to come to New Jerusalem, that outside the gates sin and liars and sorcery still exists:
“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” (Revelation 22:14-15)
They tell us it’s a barren land up there in northern Siberia, it’s a massive land mass, I believe they are hiding the highway to the new Jerusalem, but ultimately if we are redeemed and decide to go, they can’t stop us.
Question: Why would God keep us in the dark regarding the fact all prophecies in the book of revelation have been fulfilled and to the fact the holy city is already here? I also don’t get why death and evil is still around, you say Satan is in the lake of fire but then scripture also says his angels also are there, as is death and hades. So then why are we at least not given a chance to go there, to choose to go there, the north pole is heavily restricted by military, they will shoot anyone that tries to go and see what is actually there, not that people want to go since they have been told there’s nothing there but ice and Santa. Yes, for how long will these evil governments keep ruling over the earth?
Answer: Our time here is a test. If you saw everything laid out in front of you, you would not require faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, the scriptures say. Jesus says many are called but few are chosen, repeatedly. In scripture we read about how few are saved, not many make it to the strait gate that leads unto life. Only those who are keeping the commandments of Jesus are going to be allowed in to the Holy city where the unclean cannot go.
The evil governments only rule because those who are saved acquiesce – that is why so much effort is spent to keep Christians deceived, to make them believe the prophecies haven’t been fulfilled and that fake Israel in the middle east is the real Holy Land. Couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s nothing holy about fake Israel and the fake Jews who support it. There is no actual power to persecute saved believers today , that is why they deceive us rather than destroy us.
If you were inside new Jerusalem now would you want any riff raff coming in? No, you would want those who have been refined, tried in the fire and proven to be faithful and a follower of God.
The proof of God’s existence is all around us, the creation testifies to the Creator. We can also see from the evidence such as meltology and the architecture, that the prophecies have been fulfilled. The scriptures leave absolutely no doubt that the prophecies have been fulfilled.
God is not keeping us in the dark we have had the scriptures all our lives and they are not hard to understand. You simply have to believe what is written in God’s word.
The tree of life is inside new Jerusalem, that’s what it says at the end of Revelation. Jesus says murderers are outside the gates of New Jerusalem on the last page of the Bible. So if you want to escape death you have to eat from the tree of life inside new Jerusalem
Satan is in the lake of fire but the demonic spirits from the giants still roam the earth, that is why sorcery still exists. These spirits were not part of God’s plan, that is why they remain and require our consent to interact with them, but they are not of God. The fallen angels and Satan were cast into the lack of fire, the scriptures say.
You keep saying north pole is heavily militarised and they will shoot anyone that tries to go – where is your evidence of this? You need to prove all things as the scriptures say, not just make up stuff that sounds good to you.
Why do you think they say Santa (Satan?) is in the north and watching if you are bad or good? It is a satanic inversion of God’s kingdom in the north.
