The Father’s name is Jehovah. I cringe when I see people say Yahweh, Yahuah, etc because I know they are worshipping a false god, not the Creator.
Jesus is the Son who through the gospel reconnects us back to the Father. Do not forget about the Father. Pray to the Father Jehovah in Jesus name.
The scriptures leave no doubt (see below). People who are trying to get you to use a different name for the Father or for Christ are of the devil, trying to deceive you to worship false gods.
Equally lost are people who bow down to idols of gold, silver and stone, graven by art and man’s device (Acts 17:29).
Psalm 135:15-18
15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18 They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
The Authorised Version is the Holy Bible that has been preserved for centuries, not corrupted modern versions and foreign translations that are in fact more recent and have nothing to do with the original manuscripts (which no one has).
“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18)
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2)
“Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:” (Isaiah 26:4)
“And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” (Exodus 6:3)
“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.” (Genesis 22:14)
“And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:” (Exodus 17:15)
“Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.” (Judges 6:24)
Similarly, Jesus is the only name under heaven by which we must be saved, the only name with power.
“Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” (1 John 2:23)
“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6)
Acts 4:10-12
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Philippians 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
“And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.” (1 John 3:23)
“For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.” (1 Chronicles 16:26)
